I am a PhD candidate at Early Start, University of Wollongong in Australia, with a research focus on children's physical activity, sedentary behaviour, and sleep. In addition, I serve as the AFRO regional representative for the ISPAH Early Career Network. I have been working on physical activity research since 2015. I lead children's physical activity research representing Ethiopia in collaboration with the SUNRISE International Study and Active Healthy Kids Global Alliance. I'm an active member of the International Society for Physical Activity and Health (ISPAH), International Society of Behavioral Nutrition and Physical Activity (ISBNPA), Asia-Pacific Society for Physical Activity (ASPA), International Society for Urban Health (ISUH) and Society for Research in Child Development (SRCD). I aspire to become a leading researcher in children's physical activity and health in Ethiopia and beyond.
